ADDITIONAL WORKS & RENOVATIONS

With the vast majority of graves being purchased for multiple burials, it is no surprise that a large amount of our work is adding further inscriptions to memorials which have already been placed.

Our masons are trained in safely removing headstones so this work can be carried out in our workshop. We have a tailor-made lorry specifically built to lift larger full memorials out of the cemetery and into our masonry yard for additional works.

Our skillset enables us to add another inscription to an existing memorial with the ability to ensure the new inscription will be a match with the original and appear as if they were done at the same time.

Whatever the letter type, colour and font, we are able to match the original inscription to a near identical finish. We offer all sorts of lettering techniques whether it be machine cut, hand carved or cut and lead, we will advise on the existing lettering method and match this.

Traditional Marble memorials as well as other porous stones will unfortunately deteriorate and age over time which leads to them losing their colour and character. We have a proven track record and over 100 years experience in renovating older memorials and restoring them back to their former glory.

Using a range of techniques, we are able to take memorials which have started to resemble an old block of concrete, to a memorial which looks brand new. As well as renovating the stone, we are able to level, refix, re-letter and add new chippings to a memorial which we are renovating. In turn, the memorial looks truly as it did the day it was first installed.
